BEEF BURGERS


BEEF BURGERS

 

Mix together:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
With:
1 small onion, peeled and chopped or minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lime, juice only
1 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper, freshly ground
1 lb [450g] lean ground beef [sirloin]
Form into 4 quarter pound patties and grill 5 to 6 minutes per side.
Serve on toasted buns with Dijon mustard, sliced tomato and lettuce.

 

GREAT-GREAT AUNT BEA’S BURGER QUEEN RESTAURANT GRILLED BURGERS

¼ cup fine dry bread crumbs
½ cup Heinz tomato juice
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper, freshly ground
1 lb [450g] medium ground beef
Form into 6 patties and grill 3 to 4 minutes per side.
Serve on toasted buns with grilled, sliced onions, and tomato, lettuce, and mayonnaise. [Customers’ request: 2 patties sandwiched with cooked onions, and drag it through the garden, please.]
